Advertising and Public Relations

         There are many ways in which Nike advertise weather is commercials, ads, bilboards, the internet etc.Nike makes commercials and ads which has a famous person or athlete advertising their product. For example Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods , Lebron James etc. Nike advertising campaign slogan alone increased Nikes recognizition world wide. Nike slogan "Just Do It"is one of the most popular and known slogan world wide. Brand management is one of Nike's strenghts. Nike consumers are willin to pay more for the brand than any other qualities the footwear has to offer. Nike was able to expand its company with the "Just Do It" campaign. "It's share in the footwear business went from 18 percent to 43 percent.Nike spends millions of dollars in advertising a year. Nike institutional advertising does not focus on promoting their product but enchansing the companys image by "empowering the consumers" and building a positive relationship with the public.
            Nike has emplemented campaigns that combines public relations, marketing and advertising. To show its commitment Nike gave $425,000 for females to be able to get grants and sports equipment.(Howard) Nike has also helped the other foundation like Armstrong foundation, Live strong to fight cancer. Consumer helped these organization by buying the Nike Livestong appearels and footwear which was away for the company to advertise and help the organization.
           For Nike consumer if they been to the Nike stores sometimes they will ask you for your email or adress to send you coupons or exclusive offers. This is away Nike has consumers coming back to purchase their products.
